I had the pleasure of communicating with Dan Carnevale a few years ago while researching my book on wartime baseball. Dan played an all-star US Army team that toured Great Britain in 1945.

I found Dan to be a friendly, knowledgable and helpful gentleman. A pleasure to know.

This blog is very interesting and informative. It is very interesting to know that the Astros is getting such an eminent people attached to them. The members that are getting attached are expert in their field and I hope that there support will definitely bear fruits. Assistant General Manager David Lane, Assistant General Manager Stephen Pugh, and Director of Marketing/Media Relations Hunter all of them provide the best to the team.

I see Duke has been selected to finish last in the ACC in 2006. Any chance for significant improvement with new head coach, Sean McNally? I hear he has literally cleaned house and has instilled a new, positive, disciplined direction to the program bringing in great assistant coaches such as Dave Turgeon for pitching and recruiting.
